At Shekinah Glory Missions Centre, we believe that every child — no matter their background or the circumstances they were born into — deserves to be loved, protected, and given a chance to flourish. Our core mission is deeply rooted in Christian values: to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the most vulnerable among us. We respond to the urgent needs of orphaned, abandoned, and at-risk children by providing them with not just shelter, but a nurturing home, an education, emotional healing, and the opportunity to live with dignity and purpose.
From the beginning, Christine and Ben, the founders of Shekinah Glory Missions Centre, have modeled radical love and selfless service. Long before buildings were constructed and staff members came on board, their own home served as a sanctuary for countless children in desperate need. Over the years, this couple has personally taken in and cared for over 1,000 homeless and vulnerable children, not out of obligation, but out of obedience to a higher calling — to love as Christ loved.
Their story is one of faith in action. What began as a small, personal outreach has now grown into a full-fledged mission centre comprising multiple children’s homes, trained caregivers, social workers, and a growing network of volunteers and partners. Despite limited resources, Christine and Ben have never turned away a child in need. They have sacrificed much to ensure that each child receives not just physical care, but the love, guidance, and mentorship needed to break the cycle of poverty, neglect, and abandonment.
Among the most moving testimonies of this work is the infant rescue of seven abandoned babies, discovered in various heart-wrenching conditions — left on doorsteps, in markets, and even in hospital corridors. Today, those same children are a living testament to grace and resilience. Having been embraced by the Shekinah family, they are now thriving academically, emotionally, and spiritually, and are proudly advancing into Grade 4. Their transformation — from hopeless beginnings to vibrant, confident young learners — is a reminder of what God can do through ordinary people with willing hearts.
Beyond these individual stories, the impact of Shekinah Glory Missions Centre reaches into the wider community. We provide support to struggling families, counsel young mothers in crisis, facilitate family reintegration where safe and appropriate, and work hand-in-hand with local authorities and churches to ensure that no child is left behind. Every child who walks through our doors is seen, known, and loved — not as a number or a burden, but as a precious creation with a God-given destiny.
We stand on the promise of Matthew 9:37, which reminds us, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” The need is overwhelming — thousands of children are still out there, sleeping on cold streets, going to bed hungry, or living in fear and abuse. But we do not despair. Instead, we pray and press on, knowing that each life we touch, each child we rescue, is a soul reclaimed from the darkness.
It is our prayer and commitment that with more support, more laborers, and more open hearts, we will continue to expand this mission — building more homes, reaching more communities, and raising up a generation of children who know they are loved, valued, and called to make a difference.
At Shekinah Glory, we are not just caregivers. We are family to the forgotten, defenders of the defenseless, and champions of second chances. We are a living testimony that God’s unfailing love still moves in power — through humble people willing to say “yes.”
If you feel led to join this cause — through prayer, support, volunteering, or partnership — know that your contribution is not in vain. Together, we can bring light to even more children’s lives and write new stories of hope, redemption, and purpose.
